Apollonia Kotero

Patricia Apollonia Kotero was an American model and a singer. She is also a co-star in Prince's 1984 movie Purple Rain. Her most well-known work is her performance in Prince's 1984 movie Purple Rain as well as being the singer-in-chief of Apollonia 6, a girl group. She was one of several female artists that benefited from Prince's collaboration in the 1980s. Patricia Kotero was born in Santa Monica, California in the year 1959. Her career started with modeling in the latter part of 1970. Kotero also appeared on CHiPS. In 1984 she landed the female lead of Prince's Purple Rain (during which time he switched her names) and was replaced by Vanity in the female duo Vanity 6 performing with them in the film with the title Apollonia 6. Sex Shooter, the group's minor-hit song in the film's soundtrack, was her biggest chart success. The two were dispute over the direction of her career Apollonia 6 split up and Kotero quit her relationship with Prince. The singer then appeared in couple of films that were minor in the 1980s (reportedly not accepting an offer to star in the Purple Rain-follow-up Under the Cherry Moon) prior to settling for an evening-time part in the dramatic Falcon Crest in 1985-1986. Apollonia was finally able to make her debut album available in the year 1988. It failed to leave a lasting impression on fans of music and was soon obliterated from the spotlight. The actress continued acting (if somewhat under the radar) throughout the following decade. Small TV appearances as well as minor film roles and workout videos kept her active. Apollonia released a CD in Spanish and English named Stay With Me in 1997. When she returned to school, she received a bachelor's degree in filmmaking and created her own business. Apollonia has many jobs. She was a model, singer and talent manager. Purple Rain, the 1984 film that she was in, is her most recognizable part. Kotero has appeared in numerous other films and television shows, including Black Magic Woman and The Divorce Ceremony. Kotero debuted her career as a model. Kotero is known as a well-known actress who has worked on several TV shows like CHiPs Fantasy Island Tales of the Gold Monkey Knight Rider Matt Houston, Falcon Crest and Falcon Crest. Apart from Purple Rain she also appeared in other movies. Her popular films are Back To Back Black Magic Woman La Donna di una Sera and Cattive Ragazze. The American beauty was also featured in music videos for Ray Parker Jr., Eddie Money and other artists. Kotero was also an entrepreneur who established Kotero Entertainment an entertainment company that specializes in multimedia entertainment company.
