Anamaria Martinca is an actor from Romania. Her screen debut came through her role in the Channel 4 film Sex Traffic in which she was awarded the British Academy Television Award for Best Actress. She speaks fluently French, German English, and Romanian. Her father is a director of the theater at one of Romania's top drama schools. "The Youth Actor Gala Mangalia awarded her the Best Female Actor Award of 2000. In 2008, the European Film Promotion Board recognized her as the first European Shooting Star. She was a Romanian actress in Cristian Mungiu's 4 luni3 saptamani si 2 zile (four months, three weeks and two three weeks and two days) which was awarded the Palme d'Or and other prizes during the 2007 Cannes Film Festival. In addition, she appeared in the film of Francis Ford Coppola Youth Without Youth. In 2008 she played Yasim anwar in the BBC Mini-Series The Last Enemy. Marinca appeared in The Romanian drama Boogie and Oliver Hirschbiegel's acclaimed Five Minutes of Heaven. In the film Fury (2014), she was Irma who was a German woman, who played Emma's aunt.
